Jettermane #17.

Alexi hesitated to enter the hall where he knew everyone including Jettermane’s newly mated fathers waited to greet their king and his mate/s. It was at times like this he wished he didn’t have the abilities he had, because in the room before him he could hear both positive and negative thoughts it would just take time to work through who was thinking what. Someone – well a few people in the near vicinity was not happy with the Faeo joining their ranks, while others were ecstatic at the chance to get to know them and hopefully find their mates.

None of the anger and negative thoughts seemed to be aimed at him specifically more at Blayze and his leadership, some felt like he abandoned them when he went into hiding with Jettermane. In truth Alexi could see why they felt this way, but he also understood that most people didn’t realise Blayze meant to return yet found himself trapped. They needed to know yet he knew it wasn’t his place to tell them.

A hand rested against the small of his back and Jettermane nudged him to get him moving “They aren’t going to eat you, Alexi.”

“You don’t know that,” Alexi retorted with a smile. “You can’t remember them so how do you know what they are capable of.”

Soft laughter fell from his mate’s lips. “Okay, you may have a point there. I just don’t see the big guy letting anyone harm either one of us, Do you?”

“You, he has already mated. Me I have nothing; no bond holding us together.”

Shock registered on Blayze’s face as he turned to them. “Is that why you’re all jumpy.” Pulling a knife from the holder strapped to his leg and sliced open his palms and then did the same for Alexi and Jettermane. The moment their blood combined Alexi could feel their life lines intertwining until they were locked together forever, by the time their palms separated their wounds were nothing but a thin red line.

“There now you are bound to us. From this day forward the is no doubting who you belong to.”

“Blayze, he has belonged to us from the moment we first met.” Jettermane said with a grin as he patted their mates arm.

Alexi winced because now that his own fears were quelled somewhat he could feel those of Blayze and Jettermane that much stronger than they had been a few minutes ago. Blayze was worried about how much work lay ahead of them because of them being gone for so long and his people being left behind and Jettermane was terrified he would come off looking stupid because he wouldn’t be able to recognise anyone. And now all Alexi had to worry about is if any of the Clandyke coven was in residence today; would he have his arse handed to him? Because, it would be bad if he finally got claimed only to get killed the very same day.

Getting killed was something he planned on not happening at all.

**~*~**

Jettermane could feel the nausea rising in him as it slowly burned its way up his throat. As brave as he pretended he was he so did not want to enter the room ahead of them. He did not want to look into all those faces that knew him and not recognise a single one of them. What if he made a fool of himself? Or worse, what if he embarrassed Blayze and Alexi? This was actually the thing he feared the most.

His fears eased some when he felt two hands come to rest on his back as if they could both sense the turmoil running through him.

Gees, he hoped not – how embarrassing would that be?

Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes and took the first step and after that it didn’t seem so bad. Holding his head up high he pasted a smile on his face and waltzed into the hall like he owned it… well technically as the Xerx he did own it, or co-own it with Blayze and now Alexi. As his gaze fell on the raised dais where they were headed he saw three chairs, and images fleetingly skittered through his mind of their only having been two before – someone must have informed them of Alexi’s arrival for them to be this prepared.

The gazes of their people bore into them all as they made their way through the crowd. Somewhere of to the right he saw movement in his peripheral vision and stopped dead as he turned and stared at the two men. One was holding the other back and somewhere inside Jettermane screamed home as he physically launched himself through the crowd and into the first man’s arms. Shivers ran through him as he pressed his face into the burly man’s chest and breathed him in.

“Father.” How he knew it he didn’t know but in his heart he knew he was correct and as the second man wrapped his arms around them both it felt so much better. “Gods how I have missed you.” He looked over his father’s shoulder at the other man. “I have missed you both so much.”

A booming laugh filled the space behind them as Blayze and Alexi came to a standstill. “You can’t remember our mating, but you remember Arion and Maskel?”

Turning slightly he poked his tongue out at Blayze. “Not exactly but I know they belong to me as I belong to them… they called to me.”

“It’s okay, Jetter, I am glad you have finally remembered something on your own without being prompted.”

In that moment Jettermane realised Alexi had stepped behind the broad body of their mate as if hiding from the two men he stood with. A smile came to his lips when Blayze yanked him around to the forefront; panic was clearly evident in his eyes.

“Alexi, you remember my father’s, don’t you?” he said impishly as he watched Alexi squirm in Blayze’s arms.

My Day Today...

Today for me is family day... well kind of - Em is watching Top 1000 Gold Medal Classics and I can tell you there has been some songs I haven't heard in years. Like Eminem: Lose Yourself - makes me want to go and pull out the 8 Mile DVD and watch it... The eighties definitely had the best dancing music though some of the video clips made me realise not everyone should dance, though I have had a good laugh at them. Emily looks at them and asks is this where I got my idea for crazy dancing for Christian and Doyle. All I can say is write what you know (I was a teen in the eighties so this is what I knew).

Em has agreed that not all of my music now sucks as much as she thought it did. She has taken quite an interest in Bon Jovi, Guns & Roses and Bruce Springsteen - now if I can just convince her George Michael really is the lead singer of Wham (she just doesn't want to admit it - LOL).

NEWSFLASH: Okay so this might only be exciting for me, but Em and I just bought tickets to go and see Nickelback in concert in November. I can't believe that it has been three years since I last saw them in concert. I so cannot wait - I still couldn't convince the hubs to come with us - his loss.

ON WRITING: Well I am kinda at a standstill with my writing I have the overwhelming urge to change the title of my Christmas story I am writing for MLR Hidden Gifts seems so out of place as the story has changed totally from where I thought it was heading but what else is knew with me. And I am one of those writers who needs a title before I can write the damn story so this is killing me. So I have been thinking every day for new titles. here are the ones in the running:

Dark Days Of Christmas
Do You See What I See
My Gift To You
My Christmas Wish For You
The Greatest Gift Of All

All I can really tell you at this time is that one of the main characters is Casey: a twenty year old Goth, the other is Marty: a twenty nine year old slightly pudgy guy who works in his family Cafe called Papa Lee's.

I can also tell you there is a vindictive ex and all the rouble he causes and Casey isn't welcome at his own home because of his step-mother. I'm not sure what is happening there yet - told you as soon as I find the new title I will start writing again.

Okay I am out here for today... I should try and get some writing done on something else.

Too Many Horror Stories.

Today I read yet another horror story of someone getting sued for using pictures not their own on their blogs I have spent a better part of my day going through my blog and removing any and all pictures. The only ones remaining are book covers (where I have permission from the author to use them), My own covers, record/CD covers. It is better to be safe than sorry...

On other news my beta reader loves  A Moon-Runner Christmas so that is a good thing I suppose.

Tomorrow I think I will be able to get back to work without having to worry about whether or not I am breaking the law (I probably am as I still have you tube videos on my blog).

On that note I will away as I have to take the pictures off my Kate blog - Oh what fun - NOT!!!

It's Done!!!

Well, On the 12th Day which I renamed: A Moon-Runner Christmas is now in the hands of one of my beta readers. before I finally submit it to silver so keep all your fingers crossed for me.

As you can tell by the blurb I posted yesterday this is a 15k paranormal story.

Bloody Hell & Then Some...

Well here is an update on what is happening in my life... You will be all happy to know that the flu is all cleared up and I am feeling a hell of a lot better...

I have 3K to write on On the 12th Day - which I have decided to rename I am just not sure what I will call it yet... Any Suggestions? It is a paranormal Xmas he is a on the spot blurb:

The Moon-runner pack is hosting this years Mating Contract Ritual (big party where numerous pack come and vie for a mate - very rare do you ever find you heart-mate).

Liam Kantry wants to be with the man he has loved nearly his whole entire life - yet rumours and innuendos have left Liam named as the pack slut - not something Liam has ever disputed - so what if it wasn't true.

Carlos Bruenelli is waiting for his heart-mate; he is one of those who believe they really do exist the alpha-mate is proof of this. In his heart he wants it to be his best friend even if he is the town slut.

As Christmas draws near they have to work their way through not only their own but the whole packs ideas on what a heart-mate should be.

As you can tell the blurb still needs some work done to it.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes.

As you can see I have changed my blog yet again all the pictures on my wall that are not my cover or promoting someone or something else are pictures I have bought from the wonderful Dan Skinner and they are all Characters out of The Lines of Marsden. I just want you all to know I own the pictures I use though the ones I place in my posts I borrow from elsewhere and from now on I will try and let you know exactly where I borrow them from or who they are at least. I can't promise I will always have the answer for you.

Why the picture's of The Lines of Marsden character's you may ask. Well the answer is simple: The Lines of Marsden is my baby, this is the story that got me through some of the toughest times in my life. Some of the character pictures are of future characters you are yet to meet and fall in love with.

On that note I will away as I have way too much writing to catch up on. Talk to you all soon to fill you in on what's happening or to post a new blog story episode.

It's Hard To Say Goodbye To Those We Love.

In recent days I have been informed of three deaths in my life, one of a relative, and one of a friend - or more someone I was beginning to see as a friend, and one taken at such an early age. I have no words so instead I will play some songs for them both and those they left behind.

Reviews: Words Hurt.

Today, I broke my own rule and I went and read some of my reviews. There were some really nice ones, and then there were some not so nice ones. I'm a big believer in it's okay to have your own personal opinion on whether or not you like my books; or anyone else's for that matter. But I'm also a big believer in if you truly don't have anything nice to say than keep it to yourself and let everyone else decide for themselves.

I am not naive enough to believe that my work is going to appeal to everyone, but as long as one person likes it then that's okay by me. It gives me the incentive to write something else.

No matter what; I'm going to keep writing. The words of bad reviews may hurt for a moment or two, but in the end I'll suck it up and keep going. Because the next one may be the one you do like, and even if it isn't, then I'm still going to write, because someone out there will like what I have done and will be happy to read more.

Back On Track!

I think I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel with this damn flu-bug. I still have the annoying pain in the arse cough, but hey I can live with that. Today I am going to try and catch up on some writing... I wrote 4 K about four days ago and I am dreading re-reading it in case I went off on some weird arse tangent and left what I was meant to be writing about (Christmas: On the12th Day) but that means I an over halfway on that story fingers crossed it makes sense (codeine based pain killers, flu medicine and writing may not work well together).

So I have heaps of writing I need to catch up on if I have a hope in hell of making all my deadlines on time. This is me and we all know I work fast under the crunch... just hope what I write is worth reading - LOL. But I am medication free and my brain is somewhat working again. It is raining here today so what a better atmosphere to write in.

Wish me luck.

Wind Walkers # 18

Haydrian smiled as he watched his siblings rant over who had the bird shifter. This would teach Raevyn for interfering where he didn’t belong; and until he fixed what he fucked up he wasn’t getting the shifter back. Did he feel guilty the shifter’s mate was worried? No, from what the shifter said the mate didn’t want him anyway. It was all just an excuse because Haydrian knew for a fact Dominic absolutely adored his mate. But sometimes things happened and people got hurt.

Looking across the chamber, his gaze came to rest on the shifter Nico where he lay in slumber and would remain so because this way he wouldn’t hurt with the separation. Maybe he should have grabbed Raevyn’s mate instead but when the opportunity arose he couldn’t help himself. Though guilt ate at him just a little he suppose he should at least tell the man his mate was okay and give Raevyn the choice of fix what he broke or say goodbye to his mate’s brother.

Haydrian appeared in the throne room startling more than a few of the occupants. Mainly because as of until today they knew nothing about the true Sentinels and here, today they have come in contact with not one but three of them four if you count the fact that some had already met Simian.

“I heard you were looking for me?” A smirk tugged at his lips as he stared at his brother. “I’m here, what do you want?”

A growl emanated from his brother vicinity, when the mate stepped around Raevyn his gaze was locked on Haydrian and for a moment Haydrian fought the urge to take a step back.

“I am the Queran of the first born, and you already know what we want. We want my brother back – NOW!”

“Not going to happen, little man. You want your brother back than get your mate to fix what he tore apart. If and when he has done that then and only then will I send back the shifter.” Turning to Dominic he added. “I promise you no harm will befall your mate while he is in my care. I have no intent to keep him forever just until my idiot brother does what I want.” He was prepared as Crimson threw himself at Haydrian, the moment they made contact he wrapped his arms around the mate and disappeared.

The cursing coming from Crimson was to be expected but now he had the added bonus to make Raevyn re-think his stance on the situation. Brushing his hand over the top of Crimson’s head he whispered, “Sleep.” When the fight went out of the Queran he walked over and gently laid him on the bed beside his brother. Casting a spell he wanted to make sure he kept Raevyn from locating the whereabouts of his mate. It shouldn’t take long for Raevyn to work out just what he had done and how he was meant to fix it.

But then again even with being first born Raevyn wasn’t the smartest among them – this fate befell upon the youngest of them all.

Sitting at his desk he stared out his window and wondered just how long it would take the rest of his siblings to seek him out and try and reason with him. Simian and Malacyte would want him to do the noble thing and return the mates. Scarpeous on the other hand would seriously think it was funny. Their father had forbidden them from interfering with each other’s mating’s but that hadn’t stopped Raevyn from doing what he did all those years ago, but it was the reason why none of them interfered when Malacyte took the young Shayler away with him. Even though most of them debated whether it was a good idea at splitting the brothers up, but in the end they went along with Malecyte’s choice. Haydrian knew for a fact that Malacyte had yet to claim the young male as his own even though both loved each other very much, he had often pondered on the why of it.

Whereas in his case he couldn’t claim either of his mates until Raevyn set everything back to rights. Kendo and Mohali needed to remember their past and their bond before they could move forward into their next level with him. He couldn’t move forward without his mates and he needed to move on. Being stuck in limbo was not a happy place where he could look at his mates but not touch. Over the years he had become friends with both of them and neither of them knowing who he was to either of them.

Getting up, Haydrian walked into his viewing room and stared deep into the mirrored surface before him. Even though he was waging war with his brother, he knew deep down he still had to keep an eye on the current war. As he watched he witnessed as Tondran entered yet another village seeking more warriors to replace those who Raevyn had killed.

The war for control of Simian was still to come and it was going to be a war where everyone had to choose a side. There was no in-between on the war of good and evil; you simply where one or the other. He knew which side he and his brothers had to stand on, but there needed to be harmony between them all so they didn’t destroy what they were born into existence to protect.

As his thoughts shifted the viewing surface fragmented and reformed into two very different scenes where he watched his mates live their lives without him. Mohali working in his shop fixing the nets of the local fisherman; so alone yet somewhat at piece with his lot in life. Kendo on the other hand was running around the castle like the busy man his life had become sadness washed over Haydrian at his loss. Closing he eyes he wiped clean the viewing surface and returned to the outer room. He stopped dead still in shock at the two figure standing before him. one so familiar even though they had not lain eyes on each other in many years and the other the spitting images of the heartbroken man he left in the presence of the kings – the only difference being this man had hair that reach down to mid-thigh.

“Brother, we need to talk.”

Feeling Like Crap!

I am still feeling like crap; because now I have bad cold on top of everything else. How did I get a cold? who would know; as I hardly ever leave the house. Though, it has been raining here of late and it is winter so maybe that is the why of it all. So when I'm not trying to catch up on my writing; I am reading works by other authors. At the moment I am alternating between J.R.Ward & Lynn Hagen with a little bit of Stormy Glenn thrown in. I will check in tomorrow, and hopefully be well enough to catch up on my blog stories... until then, I am off to take some Panadol and find yet another box of tissues... Talk to you soon.

In Case You're Interested...

Okay, it's like this... I have lost the plot on Wind Walkers - I seriously have no idea where I was going with that story. So I am thinking of bringing it to a close and starting on the next chapter Beneath The Rising Tide: Featuring Kai, ? & ? I will have to look up the other two characters names. I have it written down somewhere. (All I know for certain is the note is written on the back of a spiral bound note pad and it is in the office somewhere).

While swapping over two of my bedrooms at home I finally found the notes on The Diamond Rose. Emily had them sitting on her bedside table and here she was blaming me for losing them - HA!

I have updated all my Word Widgets on the blog face so you can all see how much I have done or not done as the case may be thought I am thinking of giving the whole thing a face lift - SHOULD I KEEP THE PICTURES OR SHOULD THEY GO?

My stitches are still in and annoying the hell out of me, but what else is new. Other than that I am basically just trying to catch up on the writing I have fallen behind on, if that makes sense.

Everyday I have new plot bunnies jumping into my head, and I have Vlad filing them for use at further date when I actually have time to think about writing something new.  Everyone tells me to focus on the ones I am doing and at least get them done. So Yeah it is the twelve on my to do list for now I am concentrating on - LOL.

This is for Z Allora in case she missed it on Facebook.
Ain't he pretty, even with the short hair.
